4. Health information

BioHer provides educational information only. It is not medical advice, and we are not a healthcare provider.

  • Please do not put test results, symptoms or other medical details in our website forms or emails unless we have specifically asked you to for a stated purpose.
  • If you choose to tell us health information, for example a food allergy, we will use it only for the purpose you shared it for and will treat it as sensitive.
  • Symptom tracker. Our symptom tracker saves the entries you choose to make only in your own browser, on your own device. They are not sent to us, we cannot see them, and we do not collect, store or use them, so we are not processing them. You can delete them at any time from the tracker's Data tab or by clearing your browser data. If you clear your browser data without downloading a backup, they cannot be recovered. Any backup or summary you download or print is a file on your device, and you decide who sees it.
  • If we launch toolkit or app features that collect symptoms or health data, we will update this policy first, explain exactly what we collect and ask for your explicit consent before collecting it.
  • In workplace programmes, any feedback is anonymous and summarised. We do not share individual health information with an employer.

5. Marketing emails

We will only send you marketing emails if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us at hello@bioher.co.uk. Unsubscribing does not affect emails about a booking you have made.

6. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run BioHer, who act on our instructions, such as:

  • Wix, which hosts our website and provides our forms, events, email and payments tools
  • Payment providers used for ticket and booking payments
  • Professional advisers, such as accountants and insurers
  • Event speakers and venues, where they need your name or dietary needs to deliver an event safely

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

7. Transfers outside the UK

Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards that UK data protection law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an approved adequacy arrangement.

8. How long we keep your information

  • Founding members list: until you unsubscribe, or for 24 months after your last interaction, whichever is sooner
  • Event bookings: for 12 months after the event, except financial records
  • Financial and accounting records: usually six years, as the law requires
  • Enquiries: for 12 months after we reply
  • Photos and video: until you withdraw your consent

9. Cookies and similar technologies

Please see our Cookie Policy. At the date above we use only essential storage, including the browser storage used by our symptom tracker, which is described in the Cookie Policy. We may add analytics and advertising cookies in future, and will only use them if you agree through our cookie banner.

10. Social media and third-party links

Our site may link to our Instagram account and other sites. These have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for them.

11. Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

12. Keeping your information safe

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including secure, reputable platforms and limited access. No online service can be completely secure, so please take care with what you share.

13. Your rights
